rom 1931, Sister Alojza Dobrzynska was the superior of the order by Polish Pope's Institute in Rome. In October 1933, she started complaining about pain in her stomach. After doctor's examinations, the diagnosis was a pancreas cancer. The illness was incurable. After an advice from the rector of the Institute, priest Tadeusz Zakrzewski, Sister Alojza
decided to go back to Poland and die there. At the same time sisters, who accompanied her, started to pray to blessed Andrzej Bobola for the recovery of Sister Alojza. Before her departure to Poland, she went through another doctor's examination. On December 30 1933, doctors discovered no trace of cancer what was against any logic. Sister Alozja arrived to Pleszew Poland on January 09 1934. A couple days later she was examined by Dr. Tuszewski and Dr.J.Bialasiak in Pleszew. Again, there were no signs of illness. The experts, Prof. Filoppo Vercellio and
Prof. Enrico Pompeni, from the Royal University of Rome confirmed a miracle recovery that was beyond natural forces. |
